Spammers - Named and shamed. Today - cheap kitchens uk

These spammers are repeat offenders on CR4, at least 3 times this week alone while I have been online, twice while I have been writing this !!

Here is their physical address

409 Oldham Road, Failsworth, M35 0AT, UK

And a picture of their building from the road

I would suggest that any of our UK CR4 members who are in the area should drop on by and spam them in person or their website contacts page with global spec advertisements, see how they like it. Their UK phone number is also in the photo too.

Am I out of line here?

It is likely they are unaware of this activity, they are probably paying a service to promote their website, and the service gets paid according to clicks on their website...The service runs these spambots that have no discretion as to where their links are placed, just anywhere it can gain access....it's a software program....

There are ways to get adverts without resorting to spambots.

I say give them a heads up that their ad service is resorting to the lowest form of adverting.

Invite them to join CR4 so they can see where the clicks are coming from..

If they don't give a hoot. Open some spam in their mailbox and see how they like it.

I don't understand why CR4 gets these ads -- always from the UK -- but it's been going on since before my time here. A year or so ago I posted a question about my own salle de cuisine and was horrified to see it classified as spam. That's when I found out about the spamming.

The ICO handles spam email complaints, but do they also handle the kind of spam CR4 has been receiving?
