Crank Case Pressure Ventilation

12/13/2017 12:24 AM

IN JENBACHER GAS ENGINE JGS-620-F CURRENTLY ISSUE IS GOING ON HIGH CCP, PREMATURE BREATHER FILTERS CHOKING.

SOME TIMES CCP GOES HIGH AND SOME TIMES COME SUDDENLY LOW. I WANT TO KNOW WHY IT VARIES IF THIS GOES HIGH SHOULD REMAIN HIGH.

PLEASE PUT YOUR NECESSARY FEED BACKS.

The telephone was invented to help with problems like this. So, ring the original equipment manufacturer, and ask directly. Only, DON'T SHOUT otherwise the individual the other end might get a bit annoyed and hang up without helping. CR4 readers do the same. Try and use the word "please" in the dialog, too - that always helps.

Is it running on old, broken down, oxidized oil? Are the rings worn out, and engine flooding or near flooding under certain conditions (like start-up)? Gasoline could build up in the oil enough to create vapor pressure.

Even water getting into the oil is sufficiently volatile to result in higher than normal CCP.

You could provide more information about operating conditions of your engine, but I doubt you will.

thanks for the feed back yes you are right today we have carried out its video scope and results are not fine scuffing was found on liners and white ash was also lying on piston crown.

this is gas engine and running at 3000 kw IP reduction also being observed due to knocking so as a mechanical engr i have suggested my company to have its maintenance to chnage its power units so that problem can be solved.

CHECK FOR LEAKS. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE AN INTERMITENT LEAK.

Yes I am also yelling, I have worked next to these on a gas generation rubbish tip site and they are loud.
