Poor, poor Guru. A sad case. There, there. It'll be all right.

Never mind. See what is in that stocking on Christmas Day......

Promise?

What amazes me, is that someone has said 'yeah, we can build that that'll fly OK....'

I mean, you can't get much more fictional then an X wing.....can you?

Anything that can fly through the city streets of a Death Star and drop a thunderbolt down its Cloaca Maxima in manual is just fine!

The article says it will "launch next week, on October 10." I wonder how they came up with the headline, "Rocket-Powered 21-Foot-Long X-Wing Model Actually Flies?"

I'd like to see a video of the flight too, if and when it happens.

In the meantime, I'm gonna start building one.

Wow! I need one of these to send the British Airmen back to Blighty. Don't let Von Smallhausen see it or we'll all be shot!

I'm a little disappointed to see that it's made of wood.

I once built and flew a Santa Clause on rocket power, so this X-Wing should do just fine. You put enough power to it and you can fly just about anything...

Maiden flight was last Saturday, apparently it exploded as though Darth himself had been there. Any news anyone?

That was a really creative way to destroy a whole bunch of hard and elaborate work! I can now see people of means displaying there disregard for money by hooking all sorts of things (furniture, paintings, expensive automobiles, etc.) up to rocket motors and burning them in mid-air!

"Cool! There goes van Gogh!!!"

you'd be surprised at what will fly under rocket power, my favorite party trick is flying beer cans

Rocketry, the hobby for people with money to burn
