CR4, please require a regional location.

CR4, would it be possible for "Guests" to post a regional location. If they are American, we can talk NEC code, if they are "other" we can recommend.

With an increasing number of small companies exporting their product we probably need to keep things international.

It does seem like a waste of energy for something to be built on the one side of the world and transported to the other side.

Of course the same thing can be said for many food items, (banannas, grapes, tomatoes, etc).

My recommendation is based on standards. I work with the American Code. I don't know what the code is, in, say Chile or Japan. If your American, I'll give you an exact answer. If your "Other', I can recommend our standards. Theirs may be different.

Higher or lower. This is not being rude. If you ask for gas, do you want 89 octane or...

Is there octane rating for coal gas, natural gas, hydrogen gas ...?

Unfortunately, all "Guests" are treated exactly the same way by the CR4 software... there is no way for any one of them to have extra information attached to their posts.

Thanks

Perhaps we could have them indicate what country they are from as a "Guideline for Posting". It would certainly be helpful/

Maybe add in a subroutine that will route the subject line through google before the question gets posted!

Chris clued me in. No problem. I am married to an "Other" who earned her citizenship.

This was not intended as an insult. Americans quote NEC code. I asked one of the UK's about their standard. He said IEE. I wish we had a "World Standard".

Yes, this is a good idea... I just changed the "Posting Tips" to include this line:

  • Include your country/region if needed. Some questions can only be answered "correctly" if people know where you are in the world. Thanks for the suggestion.
