You don't tell us anything about the pumps...so how do you expect a considered sensible answer?

A you pumping 5ml/minute into a dishwasher, or 500L/minute down a pipeline?

Any prime mover (engine, motor) can be replaced by anything else provided that the requirements of the driven (pump) is satisfied. (power, speed etc.)

The finance and economics of the change must be be considered carefully

The definitive answer to your question is YES.

The definitive answer to your question is also NO.

That is because you need to format your question, so you can be properly and carefully answered.....

If you do, your power bill will go up. You lose efficiency when going from an electrically driven pump to air operated pumps simply because you are adding a step in the energy transmission by inserting an air compressor into the formula.
