Dear Engineers,

Has anyone experienced working in data entry or home jobs through the internet?

Is it creditable? Is it a scam?

For an engineer it would have to be a scam if they convinced them to do it, or they are willing to work way below pay scale.

Hello Guest,

Most are not creditable, and most are scams.

While there may be the occasional genuine situation, I have yet to find one.

If you do decide to reply, be very careful to use a different email address, (Suggest gmail or Hotmail - use fake name when registering for the email account), and do not share your personal information = Name, Address, Phone number, Birthdate, Bank Account Number etc.

Many of those advertisements are used for "Identity Theft".

'Nuff said....

I had a brother in law that is an electronics technician do work at home job to solder circuit boards.

He did the work and sent it in and they didn't pay him telling him his work didn't pass standards.

I do a lot of outsourcing and one of the representatives I worked with worked from home.

You can get companies to set you up at home to do your work after you've been hired by the company and have an agreed upon salary.

If you see something that sounds too good to be true it probably isn't true.

You can always contact them and ask for references that you can talk too.

You can also contact the Better Business Bureau to find out of a business is legitimate.

Some home jobs are legitimate and above board and it is a nice way of getting short lived projects done without a worry about office space and equipment and supplying job opportunities. Data capturing can be set out on home contracts.

Unfortunately the potentially good system is abused by employer and employee.

Therefore be aware that it may be a scam.
