I too have some questions for you: If you can read, understand, get up your charir & walk then go down to the pump market, drop in every store, see the pumps, ask the questions, take their catlogs, read, ask them what is pump? are these pumps? why are they pumps? what they do? what is the condition of the fluid that is pump it in? & where we can use this type of pump?

Hi, I recommend you to visit http://www.mcnallyinstitute.com. You will know more about pumps from this site.

Best wishes

Maybe we need to give lessons in RESEARCH!

To get the best answer one needs to ask the best question after doing at least basic background work.

Centrifugal pumps run from Tesla pump to almost axial flow pumps. Check your library for books on fluid dynamics. I learned from FLUID MECHANICS by Frank M. White. ISBN 0-07-069667-5

If you want to understand the design of corrosion resistant Teflon PFA/PTFE lined pumps then visit www.richter-ct.com. They are a leader in this segment of process pumps and valves for severe chemical and industrial applications with flows up to some 2500 USgpm.

However there are plenty more designs for water, oil, etc. Just Google with some more specific search phrases, and you will find more than you can read.

Manfred
