I am just curious about the lifetime expected from the various technologies now extant to display either Computer or Television type information. IE: My older Monitor which is based on a tube, (Cathode Ray Tube) compared to OLED's doing the same job. The same thing would apply to television screens. I know LED's tend to not last as long as CRT's do, or so my experiences have shown, and it seems that as any new technologies emerge, they tend to initially have problems that the more mature technologies have already managed to address. This is not a new issue, hardly! But as it is not cost effective for the consumer to do this sort of comparisons or testing, is any company or technology leader doing this for the market? Are there any independent testers or results? I would take the test results of a commercial seller to the public with a grain or two of salt, as they would have reason to be perhaps a bit optimistic about the results of any such tests. I'm not suggesting they would flat out lie... Nor do the drug companies, do they? But interpretation is everything, isn't it?
Thank You.
Sincerely:
