I switched from Internet Explorer to Firefox about a month or so ago but didn't have the problem that you mentioned.

Perhaps you set your previous browser to "remember" your user name. When you switched, you lost all that information resulting in your present predicament.

Did you log in?

I also switched from IE to Firefox, and even though you can have FF remember your log-in information, you can also tell CR4 to remember you.

Whenever you come to CR4, look in the upper right hand corner of the page, at the end of the red bar. If you are automatically logged in, it will show your username. Otherwise it will say Register or Log In.

If you run Disk Cleanup, clear your Temporary Internet Files or cookies in IE, or Clear Private Data in FF, you will probably have to log-in again as the information has been deleted. IIRC, you can Clear Private Data in FF, but tell it save passwords, so you might avoid having to log in the next time you visit CR4.

Hello Guest, (Suresh Sharma)

You can set up Firefox to clear whatever you require.

Tools -> Clear Private Data gives you:

That's how I set mine up in Firefox v3.0.

Setting up may be done here: Tools -> Options -> Privacy Tab -> Settings, which gives you (with a small extra amount of information, outside the small windows, from my screen grab)

For security reasons, it is important to regularly clear out Browser temporary files, and the settings available in Firefox allow you to retain just what you require.

Trust that assists you.

Kind Regards....
