You haven't really asked a question - no-one here is going to spend the next six weeks/months/years typing in "The Complete Guide to Electrical Plant".

What kind of plant? What do you need to know? Do you have a specific problem? Do you have any training? Can you get any (more)? What happened to the guy who had the job before you?

Please note that I'm not really answering a question with questions, because you haven't yet posed an answerable one.

I'm not the bloke to be answering anyway, but if you want a useful answer, please ask the right question(s).

Leaving sounds like one option.

Another is attaching an electrical engineer to the project.

I actually suspect that this is someone having a little fun. "Plant" indeed. No way this yo-yo can be serious.

Hi Mark684

I would also hope so but if you look at the reality over here you almost know that it may be for real.

It often happens that someone ask you about something and then you give him a half hour crash course. Later you hear that this person went for an interview, baffled the panel with a lot of knowledge and was appointed in a supervisory position.

The task get delegated to lower levels and later when the fan is struck it is realized that no knowledge regarding the task exist anywhere.

I must admit that they are not stupid but were kept uneducated in the past.

Among the "usual suspects", it isn't Del's style. Hmmmmm.......

Then perhaps you should hire an engineer that knows his posterior from a large earthen excavation.
