I would think Honeywell would want you to be rested when you start there. There would be a lot of new things to learn.

For your vacation beware of girls and if you are going to get addicted to something let it be CR4.

Enjoy your rest.

I don't know how much money you have to blow, but I always enjoy a long road trip. Don't listen to Hendrik, grab a girl, take off, and explore. Go by car, bike, train or plane.

After school, I had 2 months to kill before work started. We drove cross country in my VW beetle and had a wonderful time. A very fond memory.

Hi bricktop,

Your advice is correct suiting to US standards and ways where most of the students possess a car once you reach age for getting a driving licence. Here in India most of our students come from middle class families(do not compare them with middle class families of US .I have seen their life style which is much differrent).

The parents here spend their whole life savings to get the child to get admission for an engineering college and to complete their studies. So the students put so much of hard work to pass all the exams and get good grade in their final examination. Once they pass their degree they want to stand on their foot, so get stressed for getting a suitable job.if they get a job in any company through campus selection they feel it great and would like to confirm that they do well in the company so that they ensure their job selection. This is the reason they are too much worried and tensed to make preliminary studies before joining that company. Here their greatest entertainment is going to movies or restaurants with friends. Going to their native village to spend some time with their extended family members (Grand parents , Uncles, Aunts cosines and other family members) is another entertainment these students get. Going out for leisure trip or vacationing does not fit in their budget.

Dear friend,

You have spend four long years studying ( real hard work I know that too if you are from University of Pune. If you got a placement with Honeywell rest assured they want you as their engineer. So relax and enjoy with your family members and friends for a well deserved vacation to ease your tension at a hill station or sea shore( warning do not go swimming if you are not trained in swimming) suiting to your budget. If you can't afford it, enjoy some good novels or movies . Avoid the pubs and dancing parties of Pune.

You should not get stressed about your new job . Once you join the company everyone there know that you are directly from the college and they will provide all the help needed to train you for their job. Your engineering degree is the licence to get a job , a proof that you know the fundamentals and have the capacity and talent to learn new things with your engineering background . All the seniors you meet there have also started like that. Every company provide an induction training for new recruits to familiarise them to the organisation and their products.

So enjoy your holidays and start with your new job with confidence .Do not worry you can learn everything after joining. Once you join the company you will not get another opportunity to enjoy holidays for two to three years. You will be busy studying your job.

Best of luck for a bright future.
