05/14/2009 9:01 AM

Can anyone guide me to a resource?

I'm looking for standards on structural steel columns, platforms, stairs, bolted connection, hole sizes, gauges, ie.

thanks,

I have a copy of Structural Steel Handbook that has all the shapes, weights, static and dynamic properties.

I would imagine that various manufacturers of the items you mention would be one of the best sources for specs on their products.

GlobalSpec and Thomas Register are a couple of on-line search engines for that sort of stuff.

Manual of Steel Construction, AISC, Part 4, has numerous bolted, bolted/welded, and welded connections.
