when dealing with energy.....

Your fill a one gallon container full of water, then you empty two gallons of water out of that same one gallon container.

Or, when dealing with Government...

You give them $1 in taxes, and they spend $2!

Mathematically, "Unity" is equal to one (1), which is equivalent to 100%.

Over-unity is greater than 100%.

The term is often used when describing machines that can not fundamentally work, including perpetual motion machines, or anything where the work out is greater than the energy (per unit time) put "in" to the machine.

Your in the wrong site, you should be in the electrical section where people can actually understand the question. AC voltage and current work in funny ways. When a AC voltage is applied to a load sometime the current is not in phase with the voltage. The current can sometime lead or follow the voltage. This is termed lead or lag. When the current is in the same phase, this is termed unity (as one). The current is stated in terms of degrees lag or lead. Cos 0 degrees = 1. "UNITY"

I just met someone from Unity Maine. Now I remember, we used to play them when UMFK was away at times. I need transpo , she had a Honda Odysee(sp?) for 1500/then 750/ then $500 in the end I had 300 , and a prayer. my friend payed $500 , I guess I have a better thing in the future, I just have to get "Over Unity". I know if I pick what seems like all my snowpeas, and by the next day i'll have a another bowl full.

Answer . To start a thread do you need a needle ! When there is a 1 then was there a zero (0). Every point has its reference.?!. but everythread has 2 ends, by combining numinary, energy based on different combined values can be magnified and or diminished. In a hydrophylic Plastic gallon jug the Jug and you both need water, the jug can manifest it from"Thin Air".

There is a very entertaining website entitled, The Museum of Unworkable Devices. Examples of this sort of thing can be found there. It's very entertaining reading.
