Hehehehehe! Everything is going according to plan! The fools. Soon this planet will fall under our leadership as so many others have done in the past.

Now on to SETI......

Seven, I'm in heaven
And the worries that surround me through the week,
seem to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak,
when we're out together dancing cheek to cheek

This is spooky - sure I logged in somewhere (long ago and far away) as JohnDG23.

Are you a bounty hunter?

Just a coincidence. I associated the way my email name (on yahoo) is combined with a number and here we are... Now, if you want to insinuate anything, I must explain the "23". I recommend men over a certain age (valid for ladies, too) to take massive doses of Vitamin 23 (you know, like in 23 years old).

Do not attribute a higher intelligence action to somebody if it can be explained by a lower one (indel sapiens)

That's really sad. UFOs will be no longer a valid excuse.

What's next? Overtime and last-hour meetings, too?

I'd die for living 50 more years, so I could read:

'UFO priority'

In a statement, the MoD said it had "no opinion on the Afghanistan affaire".

It went on: "In over 50 years, no event in Afghanistan has revealed any evidence of a potential threat to the United Kingdom.

"The MoD has no specific capability for identifying the nature of such opinions. There is no defence benefit in such investigation and it would be an inappropriate use of defence resources."

An MoD spokesman added that resources were being "focused on the top priority - the sighting of UFOs".

He added: "Any legitimate threat to the UK's airspace will spotted [sic] by our 24/7 radar checks and dealt with by RAF fighter aircraft."

They found out everything they needed to know from the aliens who live among us, so any further funding would be wasteful!

What took them so long?

The distances in space relative to our "potential neighbors" are so so great that this idea of intergalactic travel is a "wow wait a minute, really"

The nearest star is 6 light years away!!!

Think about it!!!

Did they disband it, or SAY they disbanded it. If they said they disbanded,it should be easier for them to gather, hide and study info, etc. Since everyone thinks theyre not messing with it anymore. If your after some more info, my brother www.guymalone.com runs all the ufo stuff at roswell. He is now one of the top ufoligests in the country, and his seminars stay sold out.Check out his first book, tying god,the bible and ufo's togetherby chapter and verse references,it can be read free online, good luck buying a copy from anyone,if amazon.com has a used copy, it is usually well over $100. Read it free here. www.seekye1.com

I thought the nearest star was only 4 light years away . . . Nevertheless, if whatever lives on a planet orbiting the nearest star were 10,000 years older than modern humans, and they started out with bigger brains, and they had an adventurous spirit (or just became bored with all the wine tastings and community functions and family picnics in the mountains), they may have developed a space craft which flies at half the speed of light and may have left their planet 4,000 years ago and settled this one as a fantastic resort for themselves and the friends they left behind.

I think the newcomers came along about 2,000 after the original pioneers. Otherwise, how would one ever explain why the Mayans built pyramids 2,000 years after the Egyptians? Were they trying to out-do them? Their cities seem to have more of a modern layout.

Such a mystery . . .

During WWII a bored British officer posted in Rangoon started sending as pass time daily reports (In triplicate, what else?) of the number of flies that got stuck on the sticky Burmah Shell adhesive insect traps that were customarily hung around the officer's mess. In due course he was posted elsewhere and the reports stopped. A stinker came from the GHQ asking why the daily fly reports had stopped and to send all back reports in triplicate forthwith with an explanation for the lapse. What else can you get from the defense? Bonus: In the same war a pilot lost his way in fog and took a long time to land in Calcutta after taking off from Agra. The RAF audit asked for an explanation for the excess fuel consumption. The pilot filed a report saying he lost his bearings which resulted in the discrepancy. The audit responded accepting the explanation but asking a new question: 'Were the lost bearings found subsequently?'

My sister tells a funny story on herself from when she was early working as a commercial insurance underwriter.

She was asked to ascertain insurance for a "Turkey Shoot", and went to the location.

Looking around, all seemed fine to her, except she didn't see any Turkeys to shoot.

"Where are the Turkeys?"

My daughter's mother tells of once being stuck on a train for several hours because (according to the guard) it had "lost its gearbox".

It took a lot of persuasion to convince her that it was not meant literally.

But then again, maybe it was?
