Buy one from the competition and steal their design.

Before you decided to "manufacture a BASKET FILTER" you should have determined that you knew how.

Sometimes when I bump my head, I think to myself, "I could have had a V8!"

I have never decided to manufacture a BASKET FILTER. Sorry I couldn't have been more help. Good luck on your new adventure.

Maps are a little old fashioned, I would try entering basket filter into a GPS unit.

I have heard reports of attempts by terrorists disguised as little red riding hood to board aircraft with explosives hidden in baskets. These attempts were thwarted by basket screening. The screening was instigated when security personnel noticed extremely bad behavior illustrated by the terrorist "wolfing" down ther food. Is this profiling???

Funny replies so far...how about a serious one?

We do need more information to be able to point you in the right direction. My background makes me think you are meaning a basket strainer for a pipeline?

Generally they are a heavy case designed to allow a wire mesh basket to be installed and held in place forcing the pipeline fluid to pass through trapping large particulate contaminates. Generally the flow goes from the inside to the outside so the basket can be removed carrying the contaminates. Many I have seen were a large cylinder with an opening on the top for access to the basket and flow directed to the top of the strainer, lower but not on the bottom was an outlet that directed the flow back into the pipeline. The outlet is situated well above the bottom so the strainer assembly can also trap any water that might be separated out by the strainer, a drain is placed at the bottom to allow convenient removal of the water.

There's another problem. Basket filter means something completely different to me. Not to mention materials of construction.

So, we don't even have the courtesy of an explanation of the product.

I don't mind HELPING someone, but this guy wants us to design the thing for him.

NOT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it reasonable to expect commercially sensitive information to be available for free on some website somewhere?

For kind information of everybody Basket Filter is:-

General Introduction to Our Featured Products: Wire Mesh (Cloth) Filter Element
Made of fine woven wire mesh as filtration media, this kind of filter element is usually used where the fluid enters and/or leaves a container or component. Aperture of the wire meshes varies with the particular filter element while the wire mesh filter element removes normally only the larger particles of contamination from the fluid.
How to Use:
Wire mesh filter element can be reused. It should be removed, cleaned and reinstalled at scheduled intervals or when it becomes dirty. Replace it with new elements when the currently one cannot be properly cleaned or is damaged.

Processes involved:
Stamping and perforating of the support sheet, shearing of wire mesh and stainless steel sheets, machining of caps and other accessories for the filter elements, welding of the multi-layer sheets, slitting of the filter media, assembling of the parts, pleating of the sheets, acid washing of the filter elements and other processes necessary.

More and more new applications are developed daily for stainless steel filter elements. We can supply what is needed to your specifications at a competitive price.
