Light Speed

10/10/2010 7:22 AM

The light of the Sun takes 8 minutes to reach the Earth. Therefore there is an starting point of the Sun light beam travelling in the space.

Imaging two beams of light, parallel, traveling one opposite to the other.

The speed of the starting point of one beam with respect to the starting point of the other beam is two times the light speed.

So there is an speed higher than the light speed.

Einstein theories say that is not possible.

¿where is my error, if any?

Thanks,

Arturo

Light is the constant and just IS. Every thing has a velocity within this vibration, all having relativity to the other but not to the constant. And thank's to Mr. Einstein for letting us all see the light, instead of the apple.

I might be able to add some more perspective to the topic in general. The pre-Copernicus universe apparently was very complicated to explain mathematically because the earth was set as the constant (not moving in the center) in that system of perspective. A very complex scheme of cycles and epicycles was devised to try to make observations fit the convention. I won't be surprised if a new convention is figured out where the speed of light is no longer constant.
