Too Much Technology is a Bad

11/09/2010 11:29 AM

Too much technology is a bad thing, man's life getting worse not better.

The man lost his peace and rest and the family ties destroyed .

I think the real source of the endless technology advance is the devil to make man's life miserable and to make him continuously interested only on the material things.

Then I would recommend that you eschew technology in general and the internet in particular.

The air around us is crowded with today's technology electromagnetic waves and you are forced to place your cell phone on your ear (close to your brain)to make or receive a phone call - you are forced to do that.

No, you are not forced to do that. You have a choice.

  • You do not have to pick up the cell phone.
  • As a matter of fact, you do not even have to own a cell phone.
  • If you do own one and want to make calls without putting the phone next to your ear, you have alternatives.
    • Most phones support Blue Tooth so you may be able to use a 'hands free' device.
    • You can also use 'hands free' devices that are wired to your cell phone.

Actually you are forced to get involved in the new technology(not your choice) and you can't avoid it,same as throwing a person in the sea water and he has to swim to stay alive- you have to live with it.

Today most vegetables and fruit trees are treated with chemical fertilize and the meat's animals received chemical injection , but you are forced to eat , no other choice.

Can you provide documentation of either part of your comment?

I find a Wiki article that contradicts the highest suicide rate. This article indicates technologically advanced Belarus and Kazakhstan both have higher suicide rates than Japan.

I will give you that Japan is high on the list, but do you really believe it is because life is easier there, compliments of technology? Rubbish.

"..Japan the most technologically advanced country..." Hmmmm. Really? And if technology really is the Devil, does she live in Japan?

Belarus and Kazakhstan are communist countries, the suicide rate is high rate because of the too much pressure and restrictions on the people there, but why the highest technology in Japan failed to eliminate or reduce the very very high climbing rate of suicide there if it is not the main reason for that.

Nonsense. More rubbish.

Kazakhstan is a presidential republic, not a communist state.

"...the suicide rate is high rate because of the too much pressure and restrictions on the people there..." Describe for me the pressure and restrictions on the people in Iran, Syria, Haiti and Jordan. These countries have, for all intents and purposes here, a ZERO suicide rate (according to Wiki article).

What does this have to do with technology being the devil?

Your knowledge is very poor, Kazakhstan was one of the Soviet Union Republics ,it has its own president but it is still keeping the communist system there same as the Belarus Republic.

How come to understand the very early history and you don't know about the modern history.

"How come to understand the very early history and you don't know about the modern history."

A good question Khalilovichy, and I would like to talk to you about it. When I read your comment "...but it is still keeping the communist system..." I did some internet searching for Kazakhstan, and learned many things. These things that I think I know of Kazakhstan are things other people have written for all the world to read.

Can you tell me, is there a place I can research (please note. I have not the time to travel to Kazakhstan) and learn more completely the true government form and allegiance of Kazakhstan, as you say it is? I ask you this because the things I find support my comment of a presidential republic system of government, independent from outside influence, and with many personal freedoms for citizens.

From my reading today, it seems the citizens are happy and productive, and have embraced the technology that participating in free enterprise and global trade will bring. This does not sound devilish to me.

Having some knowledge of Japan, and why 'suicide' is 'high', I can't help thinking you are an idiot if you think it's related to 'technology'.

What you need to do is study the changes in 'over expenditure' by "we are rich!" thinking politicians with no idea what 'economic fundamentals" means.

So far as "cause and effect"; this thread would have to be some sort of new benchmark in "ridiculous topic"

Please don't relate the suicide problem to politicians, it is related to the man's feeling of missing self peace and happiness.

You could be very poor but happy and feel self satisfied, and very rich man but worried all the time and never tasted a quite and comfortable sleeping.

Um - well what were the numbers per head of population in the time of Toyotomi Hideyoshi?

Or are you going to blame that on the rise of "tantō technology"

How far back in time should we go?

11/09/2010 12:07 PM

Technology is the devil, eh?

Here is a Dirt Devil™ and a Smiley Devil but I cannot find an image of this Technology Devil.

I was married to a devil-woman once... you are correct, she was "continuously interested only on the material things", and you said a mouthful of truth when you said "..make man's life miserable.."!

How far back into the technology timeline would you go? Live in skin houses? Walk or run everywhere? No golf courses? Watch television by candlelight?

"No golf courses?" That's Hell you're describing. I don't know how you people who live in the frozen north can tolerate not golfing for 6 months out of the year.

Speaking of that, here in Arizona, I have a 2:00PM tee time today. It'll be in the 70's.

How's the weather in Fargo?

People tell me I am depriving myself, but I am not a golfer. I lived in Boise ID for a while, and (I think) there are 17 golf courses in Ada county, Boise being right in the middle of the county. Several friends encouraged me to come along for an afternoon, but it never really worked out.

Weather in Fargo is unusually mild. In fact we set a record high at 540 on Tuesday. I do not think we can dodge old man winter for much longer.

You cannot hang your hat on that. The very existence of Methuselah cannot be confirmed, no record of him other than biblical texts exist.

Some scholars believe the biblical texts are misinterpreted or mistranslated converting months to years, producing a much more credible 969 months, or aged 78½ years.

When I see Methuselah in the number one spot in the Guiness Book of World Records, I will soften my opinion.

Come on, you can do better than that. What else ya got?

In the early days of the history every thing used to be recorded in the biblical text in a very precise way .

At that time of the early history ,it was the only reference available.

If some things seem to you not understandable that doesn't mean it is wrong, but refer to the a proper explicator to understand it.

Yes folks, the man is right. Technology is evil and that rhymes with weeble and that spells trouble. Lucky for you that I am a microsoft* certified sin-eater. Yessiree, I am prepared, for just a small token - maybe two gold sovereigns - to take on your sin and bear the weight to purgatory.

So, pack up your sins - your impish Bridgeports, your brimstony LeBlonds, your forked-tail Keithleys - and send them, freight prepaid now, to me. I will take your burdens. I will save your very souls. Wait, make sure you include all the tools with the Bridgeports; just a single caliper can taint your purity.

*Uh, that's microsoft state hospital, but I am feeling better now.
