Am Sorry the marked component am asking is not so clear but the component am asking is the grey one with a red LED. Its used in a fire panel part of a power supply unit supplied by ELBA electronics which is no more. It has 4 terminals on either sides marke as A,B below right were the 2 red wires are connected, C,D on top right which are not used and, terminals E,F on top left and not used and terminals G,H on bottom left were the two wires are connected.

That's a component mounting box - they sell them at RS Components (as you'll see if you click here). What's inside is anyone's guess.

It may be a "Electronic Timer ON delay or OFF delay" operating voltage 24 V DC.

A wild guess!

The only real way to know is to "de-tourch it" (what is that?) and draw a schematic, include external connections. This should provide you with a good idea what its purpose is. The OEM probably did a special design for purpose.

You say this is used in a fire panel part of the power supply, Could it be a Namur isolation amplifier?

Just a guess...

Some kind of circuit breaker? Light should show it is working?

looks like an alarm relay set, when a single alarm from any area goes off it set the alarm off through that relay, similar ones have phone cable connections as well.

If i am not mistaken the long set on the left is the wiring block to each alarmed area, and it should trip a circuit to activate a single line within that mount, the relay is connected to that line, this avoids having an alarm wire to the relay for each separate unit. I have seen identical ones for emergency lighting as well.

It looks like a relay set for alarm and trouble monitoring of the panel. The diodes are most likely clamping diodes for the coils when they collapse. The resistors are most likely end-of-line devices for the equipment monitoring the contacts. The red LED is probably used to indicate alarm.
