At 6,000 watts, your speaker wire can never be too damn thick!

Everything is relative. Cabling thicker than my arm or my **** (bad fred, bad fred ) will be a waste of money. Cabling thinner than spaghetti will be a waste of technology.

I doubt that 230 volts are going to the speakers. Whatever the voltage is, you could compute the amps, and then size the wires accordingly.

Whom are you asking? I did not justify that amount of power. Some 10-watt Klipsch horns would probably do as well.

The nuisance value to the neighbour is used in the formula to calculate the alleged output of these (monster) home theater systems..

(the reaction force is directly proportional to the square of the original force)

Fortunately there is a from Hendrik to Hendrik present under the tree containing state of the art ear plugs.

Merry Christmas

We like to keep things in the family, so with in a week of each other my son and I were issued with Noise Abatement Orders in two separate counties.

Our neighbours don't like us for some reason.

There are more types of wattage ratings in use today then there are manufacturers of gear, not quite but you get the picture...

Continuous power...

Peak Power...

Total Power...

I sure doubt it was 6000 watts RMS.

Here is a link for you to check out.

There is a term PMPO which is Peak Music Power Out Put, it is used by the manufacturers to bluff the customers.

While the 6000 W in your case is PMPO you do not have to worry about the cable size, the nominal sized cable provided by the manufacturer with the equipment will work satisfactorily.
