This computer had something called Terobila on it (complete with a shortcut on the desktop). I uninstalled it thinking that it was something my daughter had downloaded, and things began to go wrong. I would get a couple of errors at boot, which I would type "OK" to, and things would continue as normal. I then took a Java (I believe) update, and then couldn't get from AOL to POGO games. The machine dropped out of both of them. Sooooo I brought up the internet using Firefox, and it allows me to get back to POGO. More recently, I took an update from Adobe. Now I get about 20 error messages from various programs looking for terobila.dll. My patience is now wearing thin
I researched Terobila, and have the impression that it is a bug which was going around about 2 years ago. I find several references to "Buy my software to defeat this bug". My skeptical reply is "Who the hell are you?" I used AVG free this morning to give the machine a thorough scan, but it detected nothing wrong.
FYI, I am running XP home version on this machine with AMD Phenom X3 processor.
Any ideas guys?
Bill
