There is some instances where the receiving PC cannot handle any incoming data and need to temporary stop the transfer for example when writing data to a disc.

For the purpose of interrupting the transfer some schemes was included in the RS232 (Random Selection of 232 possibilities = my name for it )

Examples.

XON - XOFF

Dedicated signal lines (Clear To Send, Data Set Ready , Paper out ., . . )

Some equipment need a trigger sent to it to activate the transfer.

Is this a serial db-9 connection? Black Box has a db-9 serial splitter that I have use to control devices. From my purchase order the part number was FA149A. Used it and it works great.

- Data from scanner loaded into you PC first and then sent out Server PC.

This is to ensure your data from scanner is corrected before loaded to Server PC.

This is good for your verifying before loaded into Server PC as the same times as you PC read data. You will have time to verify to ensure before loaded to server.

I will try to find a way to mount 2 scanner for this issue, as I has no permission to send data to IT's PC.

You would need to put a Quad Analog Switch (4066), and buffer(s), e.g., Op-Amps (ex. LM324 - Quad Op-Amp) in series with each wire to prevent detection and to make up for voltage loss. If these inexpensive parts do not produce good copies, buy IC's with better frequency response.

A second scanner will complicate your system. You should try and avoid it.

What type of scanner are we talking about?

What interface are you using ?

Are both on the network (LAN)?

You only need device drivers.

A bar-code scanner may be on a keyboard wedge (that is acting as if keys are pressed)

The "key strokes" can be intercepted and transmitted to other computer via any interface.

A page or photo scan can be saved as a numbered JPEG file and may be made accessible to second computer by enabling share mode.

The scanner we used is DS2200-2100 from DataLogic.

The barcode scanned into IT's PC on a textbox. This textbox on a form which must be maximized when running. Besides this, when scanning is active the textbox must also be active (the mouse icon must in textbox).

IT's PC can be accessed by network.

How to get the scanner's result by network?

I suppose you want the information live.

A software solution is quite possible but may not be necessary.

The data sheet shows pins 20 and 21 as possibly a second output which could suggest that your initial question may be directly possible.

You should contact DataLogic and explain your needs.
