Qa/qc In Project Issue

02/05/2011 1:08 AM

Hi, All

QA/QC inspector asking additional requirement whereby doesn't in the design, to my understanding the inspector only inspect the item in accordance to the design? and not asking additional requirement which is non relevant?

May be the inspector is looking for extra money apart from the regular earning.

If the design has an oversight or error in it, why would it be unsuitable for an inspector to raise the issue? It then can be reviewed collectively to see if a real problem has arisen.

In addition to design specs;

If it is a building, there are also Building Codes that must be adhered to.

If it is electrical, there are also Electrical Codes that must be adhered to.

etc... there are specifications by governing bodies that may apply regardless of design.

You/Your project manager should be fully trained/experienced in every aspect of the project, in order to ensure compliance.
