Thin Flanges

02/18/2011 10:26 AM

I need some quick help finding some flanges.

We have a tank that has a 3" nozzle on top of it (actually it's a gooseneck nozzle) with a very thin flange on it (about 1/2"). This flange has 4 bolt holes with very short bolts in them.

It's obviously not an ANSI (at least not to my knowledge). From what I know about API flanges, they are typically for very high pressures so I doubt this is an API flange.

Is there another standard flange that this might be? We need to connect to it and I doubt that we will be able to get away with making a homemade flange.

Picture would help.

Could be ANSI, PIPE, DIN, AWWA, ASME, SAE, ISO, JIS, or Austrailian standard.

Flanges aren't my gig.

What about the PN-series?

Normally thin flanges are covered in British standard 10 table D etc.

Check the bolt pattern; if it matches that of a standard flange, then you can simply use a standard flange.
