We have motor which has manufacturer's standard painting which is 2 coat. Now we need it painting with 3 coat. Can anybody suggest how can we do it?

Just spray it one more time. If you can figure out how to apply two coats, surely you can manage three.

If it's two coat now, it just needs one more coat. Then, it will be three coat.

Or, strip motor; prime coat; base coat; top coat.

Just make sure that you paint over the Information Plate. That way, future maintenance personnel will have no idea how to service it.

Don't forget to get over spray in all the air vents and on the shaft just to make matters worse!

Either a brush or an aerosol. Both will work.

If you don't clean and scuff up the existing finish before applying the third coat, it won't last long........same if you apply paint that isn't compatible with existing.

Hi,

Appears to be too simple. But remeber, each coat add on to paint thickness. This will reduce motor heat dissipation and hence may affect performance. If motor capacity is big, design allowance would be too low, need to be extra careful. Confirm allowable and available paint thickness with manufacturer, before going for extra coat.

By the way, why do you want extra coat? Is that a a normal practice / as per manufacturer recommendation? Motor needs only conventional cleaning.

Find and go to a Good tailor for a third coat to be done.Or Simply ask your

painter to do a spray paint. This will be very economical than going to the motor

manufacturer.
