Looking for parts

04/13/2007 3:21 AM

Hello fellow dreamers

I just picked up two Honda Dreams one is a 1961 the other is a 63. I thought this would be a good project for me and my son to rebuild but I'm having a hard time finding parts. I live in Northern California and for the most part I have good chasis but I lack engine, trans, starter, ect. any info would be helpful. I would love to post pics. as long as they showed improvement.

Thank You

Gabe

There is a tabloid that is published monthly, "Walneck's Old Cycle Trader" that deals with just the things that you seek. Perhaps the tabloid is online now? Can't say. I think Bud Walneck and crew are in Florida. In addition to a lot of stuff for sale or trade, the tabloid does list the swap meets where a lot of parts are sold for the old iron.

Good Hunting!

Many of the used auto parts suppliers are linked together by internet. When a request is made for a part, if the local used parts guy doesn't have it, he can source it for you from a thousand other locations and order it in. Delivery is fast. Alternatively, the dealer might just be willing to tell you which other dealer has the part (most are willing to do this since the amount of maney they can make on the referral is so small), and you can go directly there for it.
