Bottling Plant

07/22/2011 2:41 AM

We have a micronutrient plant where we have to fill/cap/label/sleeve the bottle and pack these bottles in catoon. Packed material is liquid with specific gravity 1.2 and filling size varies from 250ml to 5000ml. Crosssection of bottle is round/oval/rectangular/triangular.Speed should be 15BPM is fine. can we get automatic system? what will be appx cost?

About 0.05 lakhs lakhs rupees, on a wild guess.

(There is quite a range between 15BPM @ 250ml vs 5000ml, to say nothing of bottle holders to accommodate these various shapes.)

This would be a great project for the many MEs who are looking for one.

There are many, many companies that make automated bottling equipment. Here is an example of one. If you do a google search for "bottling equipment" you will be spoilt for choice. Some will also fill from the bottom up to avoid frothing. It might be a good idea for you to contact one of these companies to get a better idea of what is involved, and to confirm the requirements that are most important to you.

And as far as cost is concerned, it is far better to approach these firms directly for quotations than to rely on nonsensical replies to a global forum. For one thing, the intended country of installation is not mentioned!

No clue on the cost but one global supplier that I am familiar with is Barry Wehmiller.

In the not too distant past I was involved in a new 4000 BPH (bottle per hour) Smirnoff Ice bottling plant in the US.

BW had on site techs that were on top of the project from delivery of the line components to I/O check out and start up.

45 days from empty building to full production line.

Yes, they produce automatic systems. Will they be able to fill your bill of requirements, don't know, As PW said probably best to give them or a few of the other many global suppliers of this type of equipment a call.

Here is a link for BW.

Disclaimer - I am not employed by nor do I have any financial interest in/with Barry Wehmiller.

Here is a link for BW.
After reading that, is there any company that's not part of BW. A lot of company names that I know have been merged.
