The High Visibility Epidemic

09/01/2011 9:03 AM

One can go nowhere these days without coming across someone wearing high visibility clothing:

<Del puts on Hi Vis jacket>
"Now come on Sir, move along, you can't sit there posting inflamatory threads on repectable engineering sites"

Yup it's true, if I wanted to cut down some trees and didn't want to be questioned, the best way would be to use a Hi vis Jacket (or maybe a chainsaw)
Del <removes hi vis jacket and saunters casually off>

All the more reason to bring back the mini-skirt.

It's the age of ME. If people aren't being seen, heard, or otherwise noticed, they're just not happy.

Driving home last night I thought I was seeing an alien. In the headlights about 300m away. Blinking and shining, fluorescing away. Being on a bicycle "it" seemed to be above ground making funny moves.

Well, no one is going to hit him (or was it a her?) in a hurry. As long as they don't dance on my front lawn during full moon, all is forgiven.

Its a bit like the BLING for poor people, Ky.
