A lot of it has to do with the rate of change of potential energy of the materials on it. The rest is mechanical losses and motor efficiency.

If you don't know the difference in elevation between the start and the end, you can't estimate it.

if head and tail pully both r in a same height from the datum then?

Its better you open some catalogues in your plant and get the calculations sheets from the OEM of conveyors in your plant.

Dear Rajesh1986,

You have not mentioned, whether the conveyor is conveying the material in HORIZONTAL LEVEL, or what is the Elevation at the Delivery Point>? If Elevation is there means Power Demand will increase accordingly.

You have to specify the Numerical Value of Velocity in Metres/Sec where as you have shown as M/Sec-1. It should be M/Sec. (or) M.SecE-1

Pl. clarify.
