Some of the European players were too drunk to show up, or just did not understand Non-Metric clocks, or something. Anyway while everyone was waiting for the late shift to show up, the drinks were flowing. By the time play got started, some of the Americans had been told that the European team had been disqualified, and that all that was required of them was to simply complete the required course, and their scores from the previous day would be unbeatable. What the sneaky Europeans did at this point was to bribe the judges. Clearly a violation of the rules. All bribes need to be on a competitive basis, with BOTH rides entering a bidding war.
So as you can guess, it was another British invasion. BTW, did you happen to catch the basketball finals from the Olympics?
Nope, but I saw the Mens Wheelchair basketball semi's where Canada beat GB.(in fact I even posted the pics on a thread!)
