10/31/2012 9:47 AM

I need help calculating how much power do I need for moving 25kg via mechanical rotation circuit

Here's the schematics:

So question is mow much W of power should be used to rotate the wheel so it could push and pull 25kg of material?

1 and 2 will require more W than 3 and 4.

Beyond that, you're on your own. It is your homework, isn't it?

So, you have a 5 cm lever lifting a 20Kg load 10cm over some period of time. Then, you'll have some idle time.

My advice to you is to take a course in mechanics or physics and then tackle electric motors.

Helping people spend time wisely in pursuit of technical goals is exactly what this site is about. If that is unpalatable, please feel free to try other sites instead.

he didn't help me at all. Please explain to me what's the purpose of forum then if instead of simply answering the question which would solve my problem and spared me about a month of learning just for that one, never more to use info, i get the "learn it by yourself" "advice"... I know that i can learn that by myself but i have other obligations and i need only that one answer
also "Helping people spend time wisely" - why, oh WHY do u think that's is spending time wisely??? I personally think that spending time with my family is at least n-times more wisely spent time than learning mechanics and electronics but hey, i need that knowledge to make my life easier SO i can spend my time more wisely...
any more "pearl" wisdom?

Need a sense of balance here. Time with your family is great, but if you lose your job because you haven't learned some basics you might get more time with them than you bargained for!

Quite. This site does not offer a McDonald's-style service (other fast-food operations are available).

According to the data on the post, yours was in reply to #8, which was mine. I was wondering what I'd done to offend you , but then saw the email notification said your reply was to Nobilitius.

Any comment, Admin?

Conceivably my fault; I was (supposedly) replying to Nobilitious but may have accidentally picked the wron "reply to" button. Sorry for any misimpression.

But wouldn't the system only have known the reply was to Nobilitious (for the email notification) if you had clicked on the Reply tab on #7 ? Or am I missing something? (Just curious, but not important if you don't know or don't want to bother answering.)

How fast?

746 watts = 33,000 foot-pounds per minute.
