Under Ground Pipe Thickness Calculation

HELLO,

Can anyone pls explain me the procedure for thickness calculaion for underground piping?? i m in urgent need of it, pls mail me any book or material for the same.

There is no need. One uses published tables of pipe for design purposes, and for practical measurements one uses ultrasonic thickness gauging equipment. And the sort of things that are needed to progress this are:

  • What does the Process Engineer say about the system maximum operating pressure and temperature, for instance (rhetorical question - NNTR)?
  • What is on the process data sheets (rhetorical question - NNTR)?
  • What impact does what is being carried inside the pipe have on piping material selection (rhetorical question - NNTR)?
