Have you asked your current computer supplier/manufacturer if they make some? If they don't, they can probably tell you where to look or get started on your search. Have you asked other hospitals if they have them and where they got them? Have you asked the suppliers of the sonogram equipment and other devices that have computers on them? What about the manufacturer of those computers with pedestal cart sort of thing that is brought into the patients rooms for records, reviews and updating? Many hospitals use lap-tops for this sort of task also. What brand are they using and are they medical grade? Perhaps that manufacturer also makes medical grade computers of the type you want.

Do the search in the same manner you would if you wanted the best or most suitable device for any other purpose..

Seek and you shall find!

Good Luck, Old Salt

Just how hard did you look? There are many listed on Google.Or do you just wish for someone else to catch your fish, clean them, cook them, and feed them to you by the forkful, pull out your chair, put on your bib, wipe your mouth and them burp you afterwards? It is a easy to Google as it is to post it for someone else to research for you.

Cynical?Sarcastic?Obnoxious? Sure, when someone is too apathetic or lazy to do a simple Goolge search.

It is not as easy as all that. There is probably no such thing as a medical grade computer that you can plug in any device in the hospital and it will magically run. Oh if you wish to buy one there will be plenty of sellers. I doubt there is any difference between a medical grade motherboard and a normal PC. The difference will be in the cards you put into the PCI slots. They convert the device output into computer data. One card will not accept all devices. Instead, you will probably need to purchase a special card designed to interface with the device and software to use the data. If you do the reverse, you will likely find you purchased the wrong computer. There are at least 2 sizes of PCI cards. You need to have a computer with the right number of each sized slots. You can get away with extra slots but not too few. I would shop for the cards first then purchase a PC to house the cards. You will need to contact each company that makes a device you will use and explain you are upgrading your computers and ask what must you do to integrate the device to a computer. Be prepared to discover that some device manufacturers are no longer in business. You may need to either keep the old computer or buy a different device.

If I were you, I would get an inventory of what each computer will have attached to it and organize it in a spreadsheet or something like that.

You can purchase 24" touch screens for $400-500.

Just a guess, something like this maybe:
Onyx Healthcare Introduces Its Fanless Medical Grade PC - PRLeap
The MedPC-5500 can be used in a variety of applications, including emergency rooms, pharmaceutical factories and research laboratories.

Our company (laboratory analyzers) uses an organization that has been great working with us designing to our specifications.

DTX http://www.dtx.com/

Very small footprint, solid state mirrored hard drives, they have been good partners.

You can do all the research in the world, but it is always good to ask someone who's been there, done that. If someone wants to refer to that as spoon-feeding, so be it.

I'd prefer to go with someone who is experienced. Ask the experts.

Hi, recently I read an article which is about the trends of healthcare.

It is worth reading, I wanna share with you.

Medical PCs which are today being deployed and widely used throughout the hospital from intensive care units and radiology departments to operating rooms are another good example of a smart hospital environment. They are used in a diverse range of medical applications from data acquisition, vital signs monitoring devices, Patient Data Management Systems (PDMS) and visualization (x-ray, endoscopy). Medical PCs play a critical role in the provision of care by helping to display, collect and disperse images, and other patient data.

If you are interested in and want to know more about it, you can check here.

I think integrated operating is born from this trend.

Briefly, integrated operation room is that it can integrate technologies and help the entire surgical team work more safely and efficiently.

Cuz hospital equipments are complicated, if all equipments can be integrated will make the data transfer and surgical team work more efficiently and also reduce opportunities to make mistakes.

If you want to see more related information of medical computer, feel free to check here.
