This is dangerous stuff. You will die if you don't take proper safety precautions. Actually, you will die even if you do, its just a matter of time. Make sure you are using proper safety equipment and don't consume alcohol immediately prior as it increases absorption of organophosphates.

.

Methamidophos is highly soluble in diethyl ether, which separates readily from water. That makes the process relatively easy (assuming your 65% methamidophos is in aqueous solution) though not necessarily very safe. Add ether to the solution, mix vigorously for an extended period, allow to settle, collect the ether and evaporate the ether off.

.

If you don't know what you are doing and proceed anyway, you will be unlikely to ever make that mistake (or any other) again.

I dont want to patent any process ,I want to produce 10 g of this product in order to send lots of 2 g to five other team mates working in a proyect to evaluate residues of METHAMIDOPHOS in fresh vegetables, soils and water.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST

Why reinvent the wheel for 10 g?

Find a source and buy it.

You could probably ask, and get a farmer to give you 10 g.

DEAR COMENTATOR. Mi objective is PREPARE 10g of methamidophos with a purity +99%, moreover:

1. I'm not looking for a source, I have the TECHNICAL METHAMIDOPHOS (100g)

2. Farmers uses FORMULATED METHAMIDOPHOS.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION

Reading the Materials Safety Data Sheet for the substance would be a really good start. The next step would be to discuss the project with a qualified Chemist. The third step depends upon the outcome of the second.

Seems he has a death wish, either himself or somebody else. Extremely nasty stuff. According to Toxipedia;

"Regulation; Methamidophos is a US EPA registered, Class I compound which must bear the words "Danger-Poison" n commercial products and is banned, restricted or canceled in 13 countries and not legal for import in 44 countries"

MSDS;

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW

DANGER:

- MAY BE FATAL IF SWALLOWED

- MAY BE FATAL IF ABSORBED THROUGH SKIN

- MAY BE FATAL IF INHALED

- KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

It seem like a sure way of taking out one or more of, what ever, it's non-discriminating
