Moisture Calculation

Hello,

I would like to calculate the water content in air when temperature and Relative humidity are given.

other than chart ,can I use some excel formulas or suggest some website who can run similar program.

You need to make a sheet, based on the psychometric tables. These tables are pretty much loaded and working it in Excell needs some imagination. Pressure can be a next parameter.

Agree with #1↑. Create a table in a second Excel sheet on the basis of the data in a psychrometric chart, then use the =Lookup function in the first.

Psychrometry analysis software is available. Use search engne to check it and use it.

SMathur,

There's no end of free and low-cost psychrometric analysis programs that you can download to your PC. Take your pick!

As for Excel, here's an app available from the DOE:

I use a chart distributed by Shaw. If you want to do the math yourself you can use the equations used by instrument makers such a Davis. If you want truly technical data, try NOAH or NIST.

That would be NOAA rather than NOAH.

Download a free moisture calculator. I use it all the time for compressed air. Lovely little programme, numerous options, but you have to know what you are doing.
