The solution is to call the service tech.

Free troubleshooting from the other side of the planet rarely results in a free solution.

Have you read the troubleshooting guide in the manual.

Have you called anybody at the factory to ask for help?

Have you done anything? If so, what was it?

Don't make us play 20 questions.

You HAVE checked the oil level, right?

sounds like a defective oil pressure switch, I'd just wire around it and go to lunch

DECISION: IS THIS A MECHANICAL OR AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM?

MECHANICAL:

1.AS lyn SUGGESTED, CHECK THE OIL LEVEL. IF LOW, ADD RECOMMENDED LUBRICANT TO THE REQUIRED LEVEL. IF THIS HAPPENS OFTEN, CALL IN A COMPETENT MECHANIC. Resolve to stop using ALL CAPS, as previously requested.

2.IS THERE AN OIL PRESSURE GAUGE? IF SO, DOES IT STAY ABOVE THE MINIMUM REQUIRED READING WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING? IF NOT, CALL IN A COMPETENT MECHANIC. Resolve to stop using ALL CAPS, as previously requested.

ELECTRICAL

3.IF THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE STAYS ABOVE THE MINIMUM READING, REPLACE THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH. Resolve to stop using ALL CAPS, as previously requested.

I know exactly the true source of the problem. You, Ashok, are not going to like my answer so I will try to say this as politely as I can.

You do not have a properly trained mechanic maintaining this generator. If you did you might be asking us to translate their diagnosis of this symptom instead of diagnosing from a distance. For all we know from your description the low oil pressure symptom could be just a failure to perform the simple maintenance of changing the oil to this motor just being too tired from a million hours of constant operation. (Yes, I know that Cummins has not existed for 114 years. It's called hyperbole to make a point.)

If you're very lucky an on site mechanic will find that a few easy to fix oil leaks caused the oil level to drop below the oil siphon level in the pan. If you're very unlucky this mechanic will find that your engine needs a major overhaul or replacement.

If level is ok, check pressure sensor, most of the times this problems comes due to faulty pressure sensor, swap it with other if not available, if the sensor is ok then check oil pump. hope this will resolve the problem

1. Low oil level. Check and add correct oil if needed.
2. Plugged oil filter. Replace filter.
3. Worn or broken oil pump. Replace.
4. Defective oil pressure sensor. Replace.
5. (Rare) Plugged oil passages. Scrape or drill out.

(80°C coolant is normal.)

Dear Mr.ASHOK THAKALI,

Several Suggestions are posted by CR4 Members and I want to supplement one point.

Pl. check up for Diesel Mixing with the oil and getting diluted. If so the oil presurre will be a problem.

You don't need to worry about them. That engine probably died over ten years ago.
