Ever the pessimist, Phoenix College has little credibility with me.

"[3] A 2010 report found that the University of Phoenix's online graduation rate was only 5 percent.[4] According to collegecalc.org, tuition costs are typically 300% to 500% more expensive than community colleges[5]"

Now, the institutions mentioned in the piece are above reproach, I imagine.

The only parts that seem to be free of grammatical errors appear to be the parts that were plagiarized from QS... I don't wish to fault your efforts, but you can't expect to impress anybody here by posting a link to some hack wannabe writer's article that mentions your company as a footnote....If you paid for this, you got ripped....but I applaud your efforts....

Ahan!

Could you be more specific about grammatical errors?

And what a shame, you can't even see, that the writer has included "QS" in the Title, I mean the very first word of this content begins with QS. Its obvious, the resource of this content is QS.

Can you write something out of your own on newton's law of motion?

If I was claiming to be an expert on him, you can bet I could write a book on his life.....but I would still include footnotes and source reference because my information would not be first person....all information I could acquire would be from books...and any quoted material would be presented in "quotes" and presented as such.....My opinions on his life and any accomplishments would be my own subjective material and hopefully why you were paying for the book....

ps; please note ref at bottom of wiki page.....

So now I suspect you are also this Matt Louis character........don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with self promotion....however you might want to enlist the services of someone who's first language is the language of the market you are addressing....A public relations firm can do wonders.....but you must have a product that lives up to the hype...

How about this statement?

"This branch of physics started to intensify more, when world's first courses of electrical were introduced by Darmstadt University of Technology and Cornell University in 1983."

Whassup with that? Did the author mean 1893? In 1983 I was a sophomore at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in their electrical engineering program.

By the way, just because a college or university has a great research program does NOT mean the student will get the best possible education. Do not confuse prestige with education quality. Many faculty are so involved in their research, their students are simply a distraction. Your classes could very well be taught by a TA with English as a second language. Complex topics taught in other than the mother tongue is not a recipe for student success.

Besides, once you have been in the workplace for five or more years, where you went to school becomes almost meaningless. Employers will care more about what you DID, not as much about where you learned it.

Just an old fart's point of view.

Cheers!

If I fall out of bed, I hit the floor every time. I never outrun any underwear I might have been wearing when I fell. The floor stops me every single time it's ever happened. That count?

F = ma.
m1v1 = m2v2.
F = Gm1m2/r2.
E = mc2. Oops, that's Einstein, not Newton.

Hmmm, not ABET accredited. Does that mean that Phoenix U is not being abetted in any way, while other universities are being abetted?

An honest and open question:

If English is the writer's (Matt Louis', in this case) secondary language, why are these (four) articles published in English? If English is the writer's primary language, why is proper grammar not used?

Then there is the content which is, quite frankly, factually challenged. Why are articles such as this even put on the internet ("published")? What is the gain? Who is going to read these articles and give some form of credit or acknowledgement to the author?

It's just more clutter, and a waste of an IPV4 address in my eyes. It's also misleading for common folk to read something like this and use it as a basis for discussion, decision making, etc.

Well! This is what I expected to see here.

Why so much criticism? None of you big guns are qualified enough to write few words about any of these Universities?

You're playing to a tough house.

We're mostly skeptical, and that's the price of admission.

There's no qualifying exam, credential requirements or admission criteria, other than having access to a computer to be a member here. By now, that should be obvious to you.

There are some true intellectuals, some well educated people, some technically brilliant people, some not-so-well educated people, some practical engineering minds, some search engine wizards and then some blow-hards who would have you believe they are smart/intellectual/well educated etc...........................

It's how we play here.

Nope, can't write anything about them because I didn't go to any of those in the short list. However, I can say that I toured MIT and quickly realized I did not want to go to school there as an undergraduate. I didn't even apply.

The structure of the undergraduate program was uninteresting to me and back in the early eighties, the dweebish factor there was off the scale. You could do much better to do your undergrad elsewhere and go to MIT for graduate school. As a graduate school, they are clearly world-class, no question about that.

Tiny little Olin College just few miles west of Boston is one example of an undergraduate centric institution.

Qualified? One has to be interested in writing a few words first.

The site in question is not university based. We don't even know what QS stands for from the OP. The criticism is based on having read all of "Matt's" editorials on what "he" perceives as something "he" knows something about.

I wouldn't write about something I didn't know anything about...unlike a LOT of the content on that site (eZinearticles.com). You join and become a member and you are instantly an "expert".

The site itself is a self-proclaimed (?) traffic generator, i.e.: "Submit your high-quality, original articles for more exposure, credibility and traffic back to your website."

I may give "opinion" on some topics, but electrical work of any kind should NOT be based on opinion. The so-called "experts" post illiterate documents which are factually challenged--at best.

Excuse me now, as my monkeys are done with their latest Shakespeare piece and need a proof-reader!

Let's see, viewed 46 times since Dec. 31...It looks like people are just flocking to that site for information, and as for information, the article is highly lacking. As to the quality of the article and the level of education it seems to be directed at, it should have been submitted to "My Weekly Reader".
