Then it doesn't matter technically. However, if a Company standard is available, then it makes sense to use it, as not to would involve re-work.

It all depends on which is the higher. You should meet national standards, company standards should be based on them.

You don't say whether the company standards are higher or lower than the national. Lower then the company is heading for trouble if things go wrong.

The specifications of the company are mandatory over international codes applicable to the project, Commonly, these specifications are rooted in the international codes, with some higher requirements demanded by the companies based on their own experience and they are always contractual.WP

My advice is to refer to the authority having jurisdiction.

Come on, throw us a bone.

Standards for staff attire and attendance? Using blue ink pens in lieu of black? Standards of coatings thickness.

I agree with those who say the company standards (those established by the boss... the guy who signs your check) are governing standards. If your customers don't like the way you build things, they will purchase products from another manufacturer. This is how Free Enterprise works.

If company standards do not align with customer specifications, this should be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, this review resulting in using the specified standards.

The standard that you must always follow is the one that is considered to be the one that will provide the user and maintenance worker/tech the most safety. If the company standard is safer than that of the industry that is the one that you will ultimately follow.

thank you all for these comments .. I appriciate it.

My opinion is that they are extracted from different international standards. The international standards used as references and to verify the entire procedures of the company. The company standards are preferred to be followed because they are comes from the company's environment.
