Problem with CR4 pages

06/22/2007 5:19 AM

Over the past few days, although I still get e-mail notices of additions to subscribed CR4 forum topics, when I go to the topic I no longer find the hot links at the beginning & end of the page. This makes it difficult to find the new comment, especially if the topic has grown quite long. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

Are you still logged in to CR4 when you arrive on the page via the link in the notification email?

Another way of saying...did you actually log out on the visit just previous to the visit in which the hot links were not seen? Whereas, when you linked to the site on prior occassions you might have been logged in already--hence the pages loaded with links--from a previous visit to that during which you exit-ed but did not log out before closing the window? Simply check your log-in status (refresh if you need to or if your browser is not set to refresh automatically) and that is likely to lead you to the answer to your problem. Other times, it could be that all systems are not up and running on the site--as during maintenance.

You are not logged on, this may be due to a different computer, a different connection, a different provider etc etc etc

Logon again and the problem will be fixed.

I'm logged on all the time on both my home PC and work PC. I find the only time I have to re-log on is oat home after I've run a cache cleaning program, otherwise, no probs.

I have to admit that I had not checked to see if I was logged on but normally, if I go to CR4 via an e-mailed update, I am logged on automatically. Maybe the problem was with my logon, it all seems to be working ok today. If the problem recurs I will check & report back.

The problem is the log-in. I can now see that sometimes when I return to CR4 via an e-mailed link, I don't always get logged in. I'll know to look out for this in the future.
