It is Canada Day!!!!

07/02/2007 3:54 AM

Well friends, in light of this celebration in Canada that means to us nothing! Actually it means the first time we take home 100% of pay. The previous was to support our fantastic politicians! So... Here is a light question.....( I do know the answer; Let's see if someone gets it)! Question: What is it meant by saying posh? This thread will end Friday with the answer as to whom got it correct first! Ashman

I drive a posh

A posh is a nice car with 4 wheels. Sorry I am wrong (erase please)

It must be 6 wheels.

Rumour has it that posh is an acronym for 'Port Out, Starboard Home', being a historical reference for the higher-valued cabins on the shaded side of the ship travelling from Blighty to the orient and back, and to the type of people who could afford them. Or is this rumour less than watertight?
