How weird. Tornado is shown as having an 'almost good' answer, except that Tornado's answer is nowhere to be found on this thread!

Thanks, ER! I've added a second third one in the same vein. Yeah, I know - far too esoteric for the Caption, but . . . I couldn't resist.

Wild thing is, I have a Big Mow! And a few insulators, can easily obtain more - I could re-create that photo, though I think the nameplate is missing from mine. It's a Swisher Big Mow, also sold as Ride King, I believe, and the single front wheel is also the driven one; it can be turned through 360 degrees, and at 180 you're in "reverse". I don't think that the later models would do a full turn, due to re-design.

Re: Caption This for 02/26/10

Since the I.C. motor in my lawn mower is only 1% efficient, I decided to take a lesson from Archimedes and apply leverage.

With the principal of "leverage multiplication by energy transfer" I will demonstrate that I can cut an 8 foot swath of orchard grass with the power of six AA batteries.

The electrical insulators I must use on the mower are needed since the electrical energy undergoes a densifying which yields 200 KW.

I was asked to trim the grass during the winter olympics, is it was starting to show through the snow cover, I thought they said grass, but I'm pretty sure if it is grass, it would be more white than green, I did query them, askng if they needed a snow blower instead, but I was advised that there wasn't enough snow to blow your own nose, but I will need these fancy Blue lights on the front so people can see me coming through the blissards of dust..

BIG-MOW recently retired after a long career mowing marijuana patches in the power company right of way. For his efforts he was awarded the "distinquished insulator cluster", the highest award of its type. He has since retired to a meadow where he swaps stories with the other retirees and doing an occasional "mercy mowing" for a grass widow.

And here we've found it! I've always wanted to see one of these up close like this! The legendary grand mowsterioserous. Quietly napping in the shade on a sundry day in the out back.

Still whispering;

Quite the dangerous beast as you can no doubt tell by the ware and tare on its horns, usually used for turning up roots and foraging through the saw grass they make formidable weapons when defending itself or its young. It has also been known to occasionally bite the toes off of would be attackers.And is also capable of throwing sticks and stones at exceptional speeds.

Still whispering;

Herds of these great creatures with their insatiable appetite has been known to consume entire fields of grassland in just hours. Now at just a fraction of it's number due to encroachment these magnificent beasts are in serious danger of becoming extinct.

Still whispering;

Now lets jump on its back, wrestle it to the ground and see just how this bad boy measures up
