I read this thinking it was about the new process used in Australia to print bank notes on a plastic material, breaking away from the traditional paper/linen base. It was featured on a TV episode of "How do they do it" and is supposedly catching on all over the globe.

I know that Chile has already picked up on the new technology with several new bills. Very attractive, easy to determine their value and almost don't crease.
