Has Wireless Sunk to New Levels?

Posted July 23, 2010 7:15 AM

A manufacturer has developed a wireless, remote controlled toilet. As the user approaches the toilet, the lid automatically opens and the seat warmer goes on. When you stand up, an automatic catalytic air purifier kicks off. Finally, as one moves away, the lid closes, followed by a high-powered, multi-sequential jet flush. Is this wireless going too far or a flushing success?

In no particular order:

How does it detect male or female?

If male gender is detected, does it operate differently than female?

If male detected, how to return to "I need to be seated" mode?

If dog approaches, will the punchbowl remain secure?

If infant approaches, will the attractive nuisance remain secure?

"...developed a wireless, remote controlled toilet." Just what does the remote control do? Sounds as if all functions typical of toilets are automated.

This is what you need to buy first when you build a new house, and with some other gadgets, you end up soon without money to pay for furniture... one has to s**t.

Have installed 2 of these in a place here. (not mine)

This is already new from 8 years ago. No Male <> Female detection, manual overrides all, detect dogs and infants as humans too.

Needs no paper, works like a carwash- spray wet and dry with air - the hole is too small for me (haha) only costs "only" $5,000.00.

A water hose was $120,00 to replace - price of a complete standard toilet.

Kitch and Snobbish?

And the question is.....if it recognize that it is a male.......does it put the seat back down when he is finished.

Not if you consider the use in public rest rooms. The seat warmer would be real blessing in some those road side rest areas. Where there is little to no heat in them. A little fresher air would also help. Don't know that the seat being of much use there. Most I have seen don't have any on them. Though the flush they already have taken care of with sensors.

It's not complete without a "dangle detector."

Good idea, but I was thinking of an anti-teabag water level adjusting mechanism for older gentlemen.
