Magnetic Printer Paper

Posted March 01, 2007 1:35 PM

From Coolest Gadgets:

This is a simple but cool product, magnetic printer paper. You can use it in a regular inkjet printer and then stick the results to any metallic object. It's great for photos and if your life long dream was to make your own cartoon fridge magnets now you can. Hendrik.... Of couse it will!, after all, it's magnetic, isn't it?

I remember them talking about the upcoming paper-less office in the late 1980'es, having the revolutionary eletrostatic paper-roll.

Magnetic ink is actually used in "Short-Run Printers" such as Indigo press, ever since 1994.

The graphic file is used to draw an electrostatic image of each primary color (not unlike a xerox printer with a selenium plate), and the magnetic ink is drawn to the charged plate for each press, of the resulted image
