Toyota is fairly confident that their latest factory installed GPS system will not be the source of electrical cross-talk that may cause unexpected acceleration.

How to effectively reduce the functionality of your cellphone and car horn at the same time.

For a truly effective solution take one pair of old glasses, a stick and some duct tape and create a head-mounted HUD (heads up display) for the cellphone.

the air bag deployed after the accident....and the medical team spent 2 hours prying the GPS out of the driver forehead.

After the accident the medics could not understand how the deceased driver could keep telling them to 'turn around when possible'

It was a new era of inter-corporation synergy and the engineers at the Duct Tape Corporation were thrilled about their latest iphone attachment app; the engineers at Nokia... well, not so impressed.

I've both read and heard about how the car companies are in the process of developing cars that can drive as well as park themselves safely; howsoever I didn't think that this was the tech tack they were taking on this future wave, as displayed at the Detroit Auto Show.

At the very least, it seems to be 'hands free' for the most part.

This is nothing - Wait until you see the photos of the accelerator, brake and clutch pedals ; not to mention the gear shift lever, radio controls, heater and A/C climate adjusts, power windows, power sunroof, and power 12 way seat regulators, rear view mirror adjusts, the kid's rear seat DVD player's settings. (never mind that the 'check engine' warning light is on.)

If I tape this GPS to the steering wheel go sixty miles per hour head on into a tree the air bag will deploy embedding the GPS deep into my head and I will never forget where I am going again. Right?
