Is Google the Most Reputable Company in the U.S.?

Least reputable might be a bit much - but not all that far

I don't use any of Googles offerings - there are others that are just as easy or easier to use

ahhhhh... but you in no doubt use google on a daily basis whether you know it or not.

Every search engine on the planet uses google as a source of information albeit, they use others as well, but google has implanted itself so deep into the net it's impossible to avoid.

Let me correct that then - I do not intentionally use Google for anything.

they make most of their money off ads, a bit from storage, some from their payment service...

Their 'Do no evil' motto when they don't seem to be different than anyone else.

Their extreme 'pro green' pronouncements and advertising their investments that seem to often be aimed more at PR than technology.

Their data capture problems while shooting for google earth street view - once OK but so far they have managed to do it and get caught in every country they have been in

Constant pronouncements about how wonderful they are.

I just get tired of hearing it - and how the greens eat it up.

Green propaganda -

If the CEO of Google passes gas - green PR says wonderful new source of methane discovered - Google is working on how to use it to save the planet

If the CEO of about any other company passes gas - green PR says company X trying to hasten global warming by unrestricted methane emissions into the atmosphere.

for me it seems like a choice between them & microstank

I have nothing against Microsoft at all - my PC works when I want to open a spread sheet, word or access the internet.

I use it - how it works behind the scenes I could care less.

Google did good with search - Chrome pushed Firefox to be better - agreed.

What was the nature of the poll? Multiple choice from a limited set? I remember a poll once claiming that spinach was teenagers' tenth favorite food. Of course, if they were all clones of Popeye, or had heard "The Spinach Song," that might have influenced the results....
