Its a river lighthouse. Googling this yielded a picture Mystic River Lighthouse. Somewhere in Nothern Europe.

Am I close?

It is the picture of any old short distance lighthouse. Nice example, but I couldnt identify any such in my home state, to start with.

If it is indeed the Mystic River Lighthouse (as it appears to be), it is in Mystic, Connecticut, USA. This photo shows a ramp which has been built over the stairs, no doubt to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act. Mystic is also home to the Charles W. Morgan, the world's oldest surviving floating wooden merchant ship.

It is indeed the Brant Point replica Lighthouse at Mystic Seaport.

I've been there several times. There's a little multimedia show inside and room for only about 6 people max at a time.

So it was something Mystic! My search ended on a site in Nothern Europe so I thought it was there! These guys travel far too much!

But aren't the guesses much more interesting than actual identification?

Maybe we need a time-limit for "identifiers" to hold back their answers?
