100,000th Thread Posted to CR4

Posted April 02, 2015 7:58 AM

CR4 has reached another milestone! About one year ago the millionth comment was posted to CR4. Just last month the 100,000th thread was posted.

The good news is that only 161 of the threads are about Chevy Cavaliers. I bet you thought that number would be higher, didn't you?

All joking aside, I want to thank everyone who participates on CR4. It's the discussions that make the community.

Congratulations. I believe the thread count, but you must be missing some comments in your count. Surely we had at least 1,000,000 comments on global warming alone, and then you add in the fracking issue.....

Forget the Cavalier - what is the thread count on those two issues?

You just posted the 1,082,736th comment to CR4.

Looks like 19 threads contain the word fracking, 231 for global warming, and 124 for climate change (there could be some overlap between those two).

I can't get the numbers of comments because the search results unfortunately cut off after 10 pages of search results (50 results per page).

If there are only 19 threads on fracking, then I responded to every one of them. You might need to add some others, as I know the oil tank car issue got side tracked into a fracking issue too, several times, as did the pipeline issue, and it even comes up in the global warming issue sometimes.

You know how it goes - someone supports the pipeline and someone else has to say "yeah and you like fracking too," and then it starts. Isn't this a fun place? Just love it. Can't start my day without it.

Those counts reflect threads that contain the term in the original post. Of course, discussions tend to wander, so the actual count could be higher.

Oh yeah - much more - as some one who was considered "oil field trash" in a past occupation, and by some, apparently still am, I get into these fracking discussions quite often.

Ah ha ... fracking, so do you want to know of an environmentally friendly alternative to fracking that uses an Award Winning 3D down-the-hole high water pressure drilling / cutting system?

For a moment there I thought you said the April 1'st Cavalier thread was #100,000. I'm not sure if that would be prophetic or tragic.

Happiest event in CR4 - JOURNEY.

CR4 gains strength day by day and contributing to the society, industry by linking all the members and simultaneously developes the knowledge.

Earlier I requested the CR 4 Admn, that the MEMORY CAPACITY for all the GAs of all the Members to be increased and made available for reference.

I once again, I request that this matter may be given a thought.

I just looked at the 100,000th thread and was surprised to see it was so short. Just 4 posts. Is there a record low? eg 0 posts?Jim

Surprisingly (to me at least) a caption this thread went for two years without a post.

Sorry I spoiled that record.

I just joined you on the spoiler bench. That was a long record indeed. like you i thought there would have been a lot of funny comments. Maybe the pic is too funny all on it's own.
