By the way, he claims to have become a lawyer at age 13 without having to go to school. (Funny, I always thought that lawyers in Australia need to take a bar exam before getting their licenses, just like anywhere else.)

Given what I have read about him so far (some of his dialog is just......terrible) I am not going to hold my breath over this one. Seems like yet another free energy nut the media has latched on to.

He's also a script-writer. Maybe all this nonsense is meant to spice up an autobiographical movie on his life. It'll probably be entitled "Diary of a Madman".

He's already done the important part ie. given it a really cool name. The rest of the stuff (overturning that outdated "conservation of energy" thingy) is just details.

I'd say a lifetime of free therapy with a shrink would be appropriate payment for him.

Those who are familiar with quantum mechanics all seem to have a somewhat diminished view of Newtonian physics. Many of the greatest thinkers/inventors were thoroughly rejected by the society in which they lived. I prefer to give such individuals a bit of latitude.

And still, the claims made and the manner made seem to have a bit of odor to them...♣

Is it me or does that "thermal accelerator" look like one of those conical dog bonnets made so they won't bite themselves with a vacuum cleaner attached to it? I would love to see someone come up with a method of producing energy that would get us off our dependency on fossil fuels, but this...this is just like every other thread titled "free energy". But strangely, I keep opening the link and reading out of pure curiosity as to how crazy the next snake oil salesman will sound. Anyway, it was entertaining to read all the thread entries.

Now I know where I can invest my (surely inevitable) lottery winnings!

I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut that Archer Quinn will not have a real honest to goodness working free energy device on or before June 20th 2008 or even later. No one to date has provided verifiable proof that a device exists that violates the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. The likely hood of anyone doing so in the future is next to zero.

Maybe it is a coincidence, but this report is coming out about the same time the "stimulus payments" are.
