Self-Cleaning Underwear Goes Weeks Without Washing

Posted January 05, 2007 3:43 PM

From LiveScience.com:

A protective coating of nanomaterial repels water, oil and bacteria. Self-cleaning fabrics could revolutionize the sport apparel industry. The technology, created by scientists working for the U.S. Air Force, has already been used to create t-shirts and underwear that can be worn hygenically for weeks without washing. The new technology attaches nanoparticles to clothing fibers using microwaves. Then, chemicals that can repel water, oil and bacteria are directly bound to the nanoparticles. These two elements combine to create a protective coating on the fibers of the material.

Now all we need is a program to get that self cleaning underwear into the hands of those who could make good use of it, the homeless.

My way was much easier. Just turn 'em inside out and your jeans scub off the racing stripe. Or, just use my wife's techique >> "What's underwear?"

They invented butt-plugs long ago so you do not need the self cleaning underwears. Save you money . No exit no cleaning.

No exit no cleaning.

This really tickled me. Could you imagine an army patrol, doing a 3 or 4 week march through the bush. It would be ideal until such time as they returned to base and removed the butt-plugs. EXIT one military base, now a bio-hazard/ nuclear disaster area!!
