Do analog transmitters do stuff in packets?

It is a language barrier consisting of a Zener network to prevent potential.

It's more common with analog receivers. In summary, whatever signal coming in to the equipment is processed through an appropriate amplifier, and sent out again on new terminals as a fresh signal with the same value as the incoming one.

The feature is useful in analog loops where a lot of stuff needs to be hooked onto one loop and there isn't enough voltage to overcome all the internal resistances without losing the top end of the transmission range in the process.

Speak to a control systems guru already at the facility to learn more.

Related with Analog transmitters means(Broadcast relay station ,satellite station, broadcast translator(U.S) ,rebroadcaster (Canada) or repeater(two-way radio) is a broadcast transmitter which repeats or transponds the signal to another radio station usually to an area not covered by the signal of originating station they may serve for example to expand the broadcast range of a television or radio station beyond the primary signal.s coverage area or to improve service in a part of the main coverage area which receive a poor signal due to geographic constraints for more details search this website (Broadcast relay station -Wikipedia) .

"Analog transmitters" -

Do you mean instrumentation transmitters, or communications transmitters?

If instrumentation: The signal coming into the transmitter may be analog or digital in the new/semi-new generation of XMTR. The device will usually have analog outputs consisting of 4-20 mA loop signal to be fed to PLC, etc. These loops must be correctly calibrated, and require the technician to set up the appropriate display range and units for operator interface.

If comms: What you are referring to are also known as "repeaters". Another generous poster has already covered this aspect.
